8 Bonfire Night Events in The Cotswolds for 2021


We all missed out on the joy and splendour of fireworks last year, but for 2021, firework displays and burning bonfires are back with a bang. While a few of the high profile events have been postponed for another year, there are still lots of local displays taking place across The Cotswolds for you to "ooh" and "aah" at.

Fireworks Extravaganza - Cheltenham Racecourse

Saturday 6th November, from 5pm

Put on your warmest coats and head down to the Cheltenham Racecourse for their fantastic fireworks display at 7pm. Come along early or stay on to enjoy an appearance from Peppa Pig, lots fun fair rides and games plus a side of samba music to dance to!


Bonfire Night concert in the Cathedral of the Cotswolds, Northleach

Friday 5th November at 6:30pm

One for music lovers, The Cotswold Festival of Music will recreate a fabulous evening at the famous Cafe Zimmerman. Be transported back to 1723 when Bach has just arrived in Leipzig and visited the world renowned Kaffehaus. Expect small, intimate tables featuring music from Teleman, Bach and Handel.

Wotton-Under-Edge Firework Display

Saturday 6th November, from 5:30pm

The firework display at Wotton-Under-Edge is a great family night out featuring not one but two firework displays, a bonfire, lots of locally produced food and drinks plus fun fair rides. Wotton-Under-Edge is a great option for those preferring quieter fireworks as they hold a short, low level display at 6:30pm. For those wanting the high dramatics display, stick around until 7:30pm!

Naunton Bonfire and Fireworks

Saturday 6th November, 6-9pm

An almost annual event, enjoy a perfect evening of fireworks and a bonfire in the village of Naunton. Burgers, hot dogs and homemade soup will also be available to keep you well-fed and warm for the evening!

Ashton Keynes Fireworks and Funfair

Saturday 6th November, 4:30-9pm

Head down to Bradstone Sports Field for the return of their fireworks spectacular! The display begins at 6.30pm but stay on for an evening of live music, funfair rides, hot food and drinks.

Miserden Fireworks Display and Bonfire

Friday 5th November, 5-8:30pm

A family friendly and exciting evening out, enjoy tasty BBQ food and a hot toddy while staying cosy by the huge bonfire burn for the evening. The professional fireworks display kicks off at 6:30pm by the Skyburst Firework Company!

Dursley Fireworks

Saturday 6th November, from 5pm

Since 2016, Girlguiding Dursley District have been organising the Dursley Fireworks for the local community and we’re excited to see it back again this year. The display starts at 6pm with all the traditional trimmings of a BBQ, hot drinks plus swing music for extra entertainment. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the gates and pay on arrival.

The Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds Fireworks Display

6th November

This annual fireworks event organised by the The Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds usually takes place at Sir William Romney's School in Tetbury. A tentative date of the 6th is in the diary for their return but it's worth keeping an eye on their website for the latest updates.
