Born from a love of pancakes and waffles with a nod to the owner’s Dutch heritage traditional Dutch mini pancakes known as poffertjes, can be found at Boho Pancakes and Waffles.
This delightful cafe is found in The Suffolk’s, Cheltenham and enjoys the surroundings of regency architecture and being close to Montpellier Park. Boho has both indoor and outdoor seating including a courtyard garden, the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Cheltenham’s town centre.
Their menu includes the classic sugar and lemon to savoury options such as bacon and cheese plus plenty of delectable specials if you want a real treat, including The Dutch One with cinnamon sugar, apple topping, cinnamon syrup, whipped cream, mini stroopwafels.

Known for its high-quality brunch offering and beautifully sourced ingredients, WoodKraft is a natural destination for Pancake Day. While menus evolve seasonally, their reputation for thoughtful, well-executed dishes makes it a strong choice for anyone seeking elevated pancakes in a stylish setting.

If you’re after indulgent American-style pancakes, Lavender Bakehouse is the place to go! Found on the outskirts of Chalford, The Lavender Bakehouse has a unique history and used to be a general Cooperative Store where you could buy potatoes and tea by weight. We love that they embrace their roots and the original cupboards are still there today and customers from the Cooperative days continue to pop by!
Both their breakfast and lunch menu offers buttermilk pancakes with either maple syrup and fresh fruit or crispy bacon. The Lavender Bakehouse is perfectly located to enjoy a post brunch walk along the old canal path, alternatively you can order a takeaway and find an outdoors spot for a pancake picnic!

Situated in the beautiful Grade I listed Montpellier Rotunda building, The Ivy is popular for good food while immersed in Art-Deco styling, making it the perfect place to go for pancakes with a side order of flair.
The menu offers hot buttermilk pancakes served with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries with Greek yogurt, lemon balm and finished with a warm strawberry sauce. The decadence of the occasion can be enjoyed by having a signature cocktail or a glass of champagne.
For pancakes with a view, Morris & Brown Café at Broadway Tower is hard to beat. Pancake Day here combines scenic surroundings with generous portions, making it perfect for a post-walk breakfast or brunch overlooking sweeping countryside views.

Positioned on the Bath Road in Cheltenham, this independent cafe run by mother and daughter team Gemma and Chloe is always a favourite to pop into. The cafe has a long and varied past. It was established as a butchers in 1904 before turning to an antiques shop, gift shop and hairdressers. It then became a tea shop in 1997 and has been the cafe you see today since 1999.
The cafe itself has a shabby chic style with a pretty courtyard that’s fully covered with heaters and blankets to keep you warm and cosy. On the menu there are two choices of buttermilk pancakes. One served with fresh fruit, Chantilly cream and maple syrup and the other served with bacon and maple syrup.
With two cafes in the centre of Cirencester, you’re spoilt for choice in these chic, Instagrammable settings. The original Luxe Cafe Bar is near the Corinium Museum, down a beautiful cobbled alleyway and the newly opened Luxe is situated in Swan Yard. If you see a lot of pink, you’re in the right spot!
It’s all about the details here, soft drink orders come decorated with rose petals and gold leaf, gin and tonics are adorned with candy floss, and the ice cubes are even pretty, with dry flowers and fruit frozen inside.
