From Sunday 26th to Wednesday 29th October, step into the shadows of history this Halloween and experience Berkeley Castle at its most atmospheric, brimming with eerie charm and autumnal magic. Be captivated by majestic owls in the Great Hall, gather round for spine-tingling storytelling, or venture deep underground to meet the Old Wise Woman in the Castle Cellar. With centuries of history etched into its walls, Berkeley Castle promises a hauntingly unforgettable Halloween for the whole family, perfectly blending heritage, imagination, and just the right touch of fright.
Overfarm, near Gloucester, is the ultimate destination for family-friendly, countryside-inspired Halloween fun. Known for its popular pick-your-own pumpkins throughout October, the farm takes things up a notch in the final two weeks of the month with Pumpkins After Dark.
Wander through the fields under a twinkling night sky, surrounded by moody lighting, music, and fire dancers, as you choose your perfect pumpkin. It’s a magical evening for older kids, teens, or even a quirky date night.
Overfarm also hosts the Spookyard Halloween Festival from 25th October to 2nd November, a half-term highlight where families don their spookiest costumes to meet mischievous witches, enjoy live performances, and join in farm-themed carnival games. It’s wholesome Halloween fun with a country twist!
This Halloween, step into a world of autumnal enchantment at Sudeley Castle, where magic drifts through every garden path and historic corner. From Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November, families can follow a pumpkin trail through the castle grounds, a journey filled with mystery, discovery, and delight.
On Thursday 31st October, travel back in time and uncover the darker side of Tudor history with Tudor Halloween, an immersive experience set within Sudeley’s ancient walls. Fancy dress is encouraged, so don your best costume and prepare for a Halloween that blends heritage, imagination, and a touch of haunting charm.
On weekends from 10th to 31st October, dive into the pumpkin spice season and soak up the autumn magic at Cotswold Farm Park’s Pumpkin Patch. By day, wander through the fields to pick your perfect pumpkin, get wonderfully lost in the amazing maize maze, and treat yourself to some spooky seasonal delights.
As night falls, the patch transforms with live music, glowing UV pumpkin displays, and a festive party atmosphere. Fancy dress is encouraged, and even your four-legged friends are welcome to join the fun in costume!
From 3rd October to 2nd November, Blenheim Palace introduces a brand new Halloween trail, where towering skeletons, glowing eyes, and ghostly lights await in the darkness, ready to send a delightful shiver down your spine.
With immersive experiences throughout, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after spine-tingling fun or just a sprinkle of Halloween magic.
From 26th October to 2nd November, guests can discover how some of Bourton-on-the-Water’s most brilliant birds show off their foraging skills in a series of daily talks. Watch as cassowaries and hornbills go head to head, testing their wits to uncover hidden treats and prove who’s the cleverest of them all.
Throughout the day, special keeper talks reveal the secrets of eerily intelligent owls and explore the mythical origins of the phoenix, perfect for those who love a touch of mystery and magic this Halloween.
Just outside Chipping Norton, from 25th October to 2nd November, Fairytale Farm brings a magical twist to the spooky season with its “Scarily Ever After” event where fairy tales meet Halloween fun. In Cirencester, the Corinium Museum is serving up a spellbinding mix of Halloween-themed events as part of the Cirencester History Festival. Little historians can unleash their creativity in the “Medieval Monsters Bestiary Workshop” on 29th October, or visit the Parish Church for “Gruesome Gargoyles” on 30th October, where they can design their very own gargoyle mask.

From 25th October to 2nd November, Cheltenham’s Wilson Art Gallery takes on a spooky twist with a Halloween trail packed full of creative clues, crafts, and hidden surprises waiting to be discovered.
On 31st October, the gallery hosts its Halloween Family Party, featuring themed games, storytelling, and dress-up fun, a perfect celebration for little adventurers who love a mix of art, imagination, and Halloween magic.
