The Cotswolds are renowned for their aesthetically pleasing, English homes. From houses that keep to the traditional, cosy cottage style to more contemporary properties making the most of the sprawling countryside and larger spaces, homes truly flourish in The Cotswolds’ rolling hills.

Whether you're based in The Cotswolds or love the styles and designs that are born from this beautiful area of Britain, we've rounded up some amazing brands and ideas to help bring that quintessential Cotswolds chic into your home.

A self-professed collector and magpie at heart, Libs Lewis the owner of Domestic Science loves all things vintage! She grew her business from selling antique and interior pieces in a shared space to now owning three fabulous shops selling contemporary and vintage pieces across The Cotswolds in Tetbury, Nailsworth & Stow.

Domestic Science has an extremely diverse offering - the common thread being that Libs pick each product because she likes it. Although keeping up with an ever-changing world, nostalgia is an important element at Domestic Science and they sell many things that evoke happy childhood memories, be it a toy or household item.

If you’re after homeware that is aesthetically pleasing, then make sure you pop into one of the Domestic Science stores or check out their online store.

To deck out your outdoor areas with unique, quality and grin-inducing furniture, check out Cotswolds-based brand Bramblecrest. Founded by two school friends in the year 2000, Bramblecrest was born after stumbling across a small, Javanese terracotta pot factory. Both inspired by the quality and range of products available, they purchased and shipped their pots back to the UK and have only grown from there.

Today they’re reputed for quality, stylish garden furniture, built to the highest specification using innovative designs and responsibly sourced materials. A growing team of over 30 talented people work from their Cotswolds base in an historic WW1 aircraft hangar. Our passion for design combined with quality craftsmanship are the guiding principles that have been with us from the start and have established our reputation as a market leader.

For summer we love their family of firepit tables unlike anything we’ve seen before. Reinventing the summer barbecue, these tabletop firepits can have a griddle plate added for cooking and we love how invitingly cosy these look.

One of the best for Cotswold cottage inspiration, Inkwell Cottage is a Sharvell favourite and if you’re planning to recreate that typical Cotswolds feel at home, you can book a stay and take in all the inspiration you need!

From their country-style living room and curious collectables adorning the walls to the stunning courtyard, an idyllic spot for morning croissants or an al fresco summer supper, every inch of this cottage has been passionately designed.

One of our favourite areas lies through the courtyard at the back of the cottage and into the artists’ studio. A world away from the modern day, this studio with a chaise-lounge and piles of books in every corner is the perfect place to slow down.
