On the journal this week we thought we’d share a celebration of al fresco dining - it isn’t often in England that we get to enjoy the simple pleasure of long-leisurely meals, shared in the open air but we've got our fingers crossed for the rest of the summer! So we've put together some of our favourite accessories to dress your table this summer and add a splash of sunshine or a touch of elegance to any barbecue or garden party celebration…

Clockwise from top left:

Pooky, rechargeable table lamp in antique brass finish

Bring some elegance to your table with Pooky’s rechargeable and cordless Phileas lamp. Designed by Matthew Williamson, the rechargeable lamp has a gorgeous brass finish and when fully charged, shines bright for up to 10 hours. You can also choose your shade to match your tablescaping aesthetic, from natural, simple options to their signature printed shades.

Weaver Green - table runner

A table runner is a great alternative to add softness to any tablescape while showing off your gorgeous outdoor table. This duck egg runner, part of Weaver Green’s Cote d'Azur range of Southern French-inspired fabrics, has the look and feel of natural linen which you can either dress up with pretty glassware for a Jubilee party or keep casual for summer barbecues.

Domestic Science, cake stand

A celebratory table spread calls for a spectacular cake stand. Whether you’re serving up a traditional Victoria sandwich or something more exciting, this sweet pink, diamond shape patterned glass cake stand, is perfect for summer tea parties.

Garden Trading, drinks trolley

A Jubilee party is the perfect excuse to add a drinks trolley to your garden and we love this simple elegance of this carbon trolley from Garden Trading. Display mixers and ice on the lower tier and pour and serve at the top with. Perfect for that fresh G&T, glass of champagne or your signature cocktail.

Cotswold Grey, Nova Coupe plates

With a unique and intriguing design, this stunning presentation plate will add a stylish twist to any outdoor dining set-up. The deep tones of Anthracite perfectly complement that gilded aesthetic of any Jubilee party. The plates are handmade using high quality clay and finished with a reactive glaze making them extremely durable.

Daylesford Organic, napkins

The colour for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee is purple and a great way to incorporate the colours into your outdoor dining aesthetic this summer is through linens such as napkins. We love these simple lilac Tiller linen napkins from Daylesford which are produced by a small textile manufacturer renowned for their beautiful colours.

NKUKU, Fali tumbler in blue

Coloured glassware such as these subtle blue tinted tumblers are a great way of tying together a colour scheme and injecting a bit of fun into your less formal outdoor dining place settings.
