Sharvell Property: Our Cotswolds Highlights

To end the year we thought we'd share with you what we love about living in The Cotswolds - it's not only where our business is based, but where we relocated to with our young family as we fell in love with this very special corner of England - here are just a few of our favourite places to eat, shop and relax in The Cotswolds:

The Bell at Sapperton

Such a great pub and a firm, firm favourite with us. Offering really good food, great wines and welcoming and helpful staff when you have smalls in tow! In winter there are lovely open fires and lots of cosy nooks to hole up in after a bracing walk! We have just put Church House in the village Under Offer - it's such a beautiful spot and so close to Cirencester, it's the perfect mix of town and country.

There's a reason that Daylesford is such a Cotswolds mecca for locals and visitors - it's such a beautiful space, whether for interiors inspiration, organic foods or a visit to the gorgeous spa. They also host Gifford Circus in the summer which our boys love and lots of interesting antiques fairs and events The Wild Rabbit, a pub owned by Daylesford, is just down the road and is equally fab.

Westonbirt Arboretum

Westonbirt Arboretum is always a great place for Sunday walks and to see the beautiful colours in Autumn and observe the seasons change throughout the year. One of our favourite towns, Tetbury is only a few miles up the road - you can read our full Tetbury area guide here.

Broadway Tower

A real Cotswold landmark - Broadway Tower is The Cotswolds highest castle, it's a weekend favourite of ours to have a mooch around the village of Broadway, with its fab cafes, shops and delis and then head up to Broadway Tower - dramatic in winter and glorious in summer, its a year round favourite. If you're visiting the area, The Lygon Arms is a fab hotel to make a weekend out of it, with a great spa and pool.

The Ivy In Cheltenham

If it's just us two and we're looking for a meal out, you can't beat The Ivy in Cheltenham for a fun buzz. The building has a fabulous history and it's a great spot for cocktails in the bar. Our full Cheltenham area guide is here- it's a great destination, with year round festivals covering jazz, literary and food.

Cowley Manor

Cowley Manor is just down the road from us and one of our favourite places to truly switch off. If you're visiting The Cotswolds I always suggest it as a base, as it's equidistant from Cirencester and Cheltenham. The C-Side Spa, gym and indoor and outdoor pools are fabulous, which you can visit as a non member for the day, or if staying there. The grounds are lovely too and the food sublime - they do a bottomless brunch which is very popular!
