Starting with our number one! For a guaranteed delicious Sunday roast, head to The Hollow Bottom in Guilting Power, not too far from Cheltenham. Recently renovated but still in keeping with the building’s historic features, The Hollow Bottom is a local favourite. Meals can be enjoyed in front of a warming log burner or on the terrace which is ideally covered and heated for all-weather alfresco dining!

Throughout the week, there’s a wonderful menu with highlights of crispy squid to devilled lamb kidneys. But the main event offers up a choice of roast chicken, beef sirloin or pork belly served with Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, crispy roasties and fresh vegetables. On Sundays they also offer pie, fish and chips and vegetarian options for those not wishing to partake in a roast.

If you have room for dessert, choose from traditional sweets of jam roly poly and apple pie or more indulgent options such as dark chocolate mousse and blood orange and almond cake.
