Cotswolds homes that we’ve sold with killer countryside views

A big reason for making that leap to The Cotswolds is the boundless nature lying just on your doorstep. While some opt for slightly more urban living in the beautiful towns surrounded by rolling hills, others opt for rural living and waking up to breathtaking views. We’ve been lucky enough to sell some gorgeous properties with stunning views and below are just a few that truly stand out.

High Tun Cottage, Daglingworth

Sitting high, atop a Cotswolds hill, High Tun Cottage in Daglingworth was built in about 1850, and purchased from none other than Prince Charles in 2002. While inside, everything was completely transformed and only the original outside walls, roof tiles, and the chimneystack remain, the previous owners also added a stunning large garden room, to make the most of the breath-taking views over the valley and countryside beyond.

Step outside and the south facing terrace also has panoramic views over the Cotswold countryside and is the ideal spot for sundowners.

The Manor House, Upper Swell

Possibly one of the finest Country Homes in The Cotswolds, The Manor House not only has boundless views of the countryside but its own slice of Cotswolds nature and beauty within the grounds that made it particularly special.

Inside, the family room has large French doors leading to the terrace and windows offering a180 degree views of the garden with its very own lake. Sunsets here are magical with views down to the lake and the fields stretching into the horizon, punctuated by a beautiful stone bridge at the far end of the lake.

Outdoors, the previous owners would string up a hammock in the shade under the massive sycamore tree here and watch the swans roaming the lake with their cygnets. This truly sounds like the epitome of countryside living.

Barrow Elm, Quennington

Looking out at stretches of green fields, Barrow Elm is the epitome of style and comfort in a fabulous semi-rural location. Careful thought and attention was put into creating this sensational Cotswold home with period features and contemporary flare. Step outdoors and you’re greeted to views straight from a storybook and a childhood dream with a rope swing hanging from a majestic tree and rolling fields. This is a beautiful home that really makes the most of countryside living.

Winstone Glebe, Winstone

This is such a gorgeous country home with the most exceptional countryside views and a beautiful garden to be proud of. We fell in love with this home as soon as we stepped foot in the door.

The gardens are beautifully landscaped by Harriet Parsons and are full of colour and character that beautifully blends into the surrounding countryside with its lines of stone walls, interspersed trees and seasonal crops within the fields.

Christmas Cottage, Frampton Mansell

A characterful stone cottage blessed with countryside views, Christmas Cottage ticks all the boxes for an idyllic Cotswolds home. Gaze out of the windows and watch village living unfold in front of your own eyes as the property overlooks the gorgeous village Frampton Mansell and neighbouring countryside.

A real treasure set among the country lanes, step outside Christmas Cottage into the lawn garden and you really feel immersed in the heart of The Cotswolds.

Woodside House, Ampney Crucis

Situated in the the peaceful, charming and historic village of Ampney Crucis, which dates back to Domesday Book, Woodside House is beautiful Cotswolds home with the prettiest garden. The secluded garden is perfect for whiling away time in the warmer months with views across open farmland and direct access to nearby footpaths for a spot of exploring.

Inside, the views continue from the garden room which is a fabulous all year-round space and overlooks the garden and fields beyond.

The Old Braggs, Chedworth

Possibly the home with one of the greatest views in The Cotswolds, The Old Braggs is one of our most recent listings and currently on the market. It will make a wonderful welcoming, charming home.

Formerly comprising three cottages and once home to the local weavers has fantastic views with walks right on its doorstep. Inside, the sitting room has these lovely window seats overlooking the garden and French doors leading to the terrace. While upstairs the bedrooms all are blessed with views over the countryside and hamlet. With around two acres of garden, paddocks and stabling, this home feels like owning a tiny slice of the boundless Cotswolds countryside and the feeling of space and surrounding views are sensational.
